It was very nerve wracking- It was my first TV appearance performing ” Sweet About Me”- so you could imagine how I was feeling. Being surrounded by musicians you really admire isn’t intimidating at all…….

But to sum it up it was a very special moment for me as I’d loved the show for a long time. It was an honour to perform on the show and I hope to do it again with my new material xx

I also discovered “Band of Horses” who were on the show with me. I am in love with their album “Cease to Begin”. One of my favorites of all time xxxx

I love studying Frida Kahlo’s paintings…I especially love how she translated her pain so honestly through her work. Frida’s self portraits inspire me to treat my music just like those portraits and write honestly about how I’m feeling.

Here are two of my favorite pieces of her art, they are extreme opposites even though they are both paintings of the same person. The confident woman in Frida’s 1926 self portrait is polar opposite to Frida in “The Broken Column” where needle’s are piercing her body. For me, Frida’s paintings really show how many different sides we all have to ourselves and how we often perceive people differently to how they perceive themselves.

Hello!!!!

Time for an update I reckon…

I have been rehearsing with my band to make sure the songs will sound tip top in a live setting and also getting a few ideas for finishing off and fine tuning the new tracks. I will be recording close to finished versions of some tracks starting next weekend…THE WAIT IS ALMOST OVER…!!!!!!  

This week apart from writing as per usual I did a small photo shoot, so you guys will be seeing a few new pictures shortly!! I wore some of my amazing jewellery by Fiorina check out some of her work here : http://www.fiorinajewellery.com.au/ and also some bits that have been passed down by my family. Also, there aint nothing wrong with wearing black, I’m just watching a TV show that’s dissing it! Lately I’ve been adding my little splash of colour with some red lippy!

Anyway I am going to a gig tonight so will post some pictures lately. What are you guys up to this weekend???? Wishing you a great one
